A Home Run
Crack! As soon as I
hit the ball I ran as fast as I can to first base.
I saw the ball hit
the ground in the outfield.
I raced past first
and headed toward second.
Then, past second and ran toward third.
Then I saw a player throw as I passed third.
Then, I slid into home base just as the ball was
caught.
I was safe.
