Surf Away!

The summer wind caught my face in a pillow of screeching water.
Mist sprayed me with its sparkling summer sand.
I could not see the light of the smiling sun,
As my head went under the deep blue sea.
When I popped my head up to the surface of the water,
I was able to catch a glimpse of my dad’s laughing surf board
Before a wave slammed into me,
And sent me flying along with it.
Quickly I grabbed my black, yellow, and red surf board
And stood up on it.
While riding, it felt as if I rode my board all the way home.
When my dad finally flipped over,
I jumped in and swam out to the wave I liked,
Stood up on my board and hit the gleaming waves

For the last time that day.

The Diverse Turtle

Frank was a little turtle who had a smooth and gleaming shell that was green. His feet, tail, head, and spots were neon green. Although Frank looked like a typical turtle, he couldn’t help but wish his shell wasn’t so crooked. It had been like this all his life and he had grown used to looking different from the other turtles. Frank decided to take a stroll one day and decided to stop in the park. The trees were swaying in the strong but graceful breeze. The sun was so bright it was as if it were smiling. The gorgeous clouds were calling to come and relax. He spotted an old feeble rickety bench to sit on. Just as he was creeping up the frail outdated bench, he spotted a magnificent Schnauzer. He quickly recognized that it was Brian, the bully. Frank tried to straighten his shell fast, he now wished for a straight shell more than ever before.
He suddenly heard little foot steps behind him. Frank knew he had to accept facts, Brian, the bully had come up to him! “Hey, yeah you, what’s with the crooked shell?” Brian shouted right to Frank’s face. Frank had known one day someone would make fun of his shell, and there it was, the moment Frank had worried about. All Frank could sadly whisper was “Stop.” Brian just laughed and said, “I feel bad for you, oh wait no, I don’t.” He just walked away and laughed some more. Now Frank just lay on the bench crying.
He had no water, food, and no one to play with. Frank’s eyes were hurting because he had been crying so much. He must have fallen asleep for a while because when he woke up he turned and saw Brian was sitting right next to him. Little Frank got scared and fell off the bench. Brian seemed surprised that somebody would be so scared of him. “Are you ok?” asked Brian. He was astonished, why would Brian, the bully ask him if he was ok. “Yeah, I’m fine.” Frank said nervously.  “Hey listen,” said Brian, “I’m sorry about what happened earlier, it wasn’t right.” “It’s alright,” Frank began to say but Brian interrupted him “Wait you didn’t let me finish, everybody’s diverse and that’s what makes them special. “It’s alright,” Frank said
“I noticed you appear hungry and lonely, I was just headed towards a pond, want to come,” Brian asked Frank. “Sure,” Frank answered. Frank had a good feeling that Brian was trying to be nice so he took his chances. So the two, soon to be friends, walked down to the old pond. “Here you can eat all you want!” said Brian. Frank said “Thanks” excitedly and jumped in for a meal of his life time. “I got bullied when I was young,” Brian said out of the blue. “I bullied you because I wanted you to feel the same pain I did, I’m sorry again and I was wondering if we could be friends.” “I accept your apology and I would love to be friends,” replied Frank happily.
Brian thought for a minute, and decided, from that day on, never to bully again. Frank hoped he would never have to go through what had happened today, ever again. After their meal, Frank and Brian strolled through the park together like old friends.

My roller coaster scare

We got out of the car and raced to the entrance of Hershey Park.  I smelled Cotton Candy in the air.  In the distance I heard the click clack of the roller coasters.  I couldn’t wait to go on the ride Storm Runner.  When I got in line with Matthew our hearts started beating fast and sweat was going down our foreheads.  While waiting on line, I thought to myself I don’t want to ride the roller coaster, but I didn’t want to tell my dad, because he would tease me for the rest of the day.

We finally got on the rollercoaster. At first the roller coaster went slowly and then it took off like a gun shot and I had to keep my head back or BOOM my head would hit the hard back rest. Next was a loop!  We went upside down but it went so fast, it felt like we didn’t even feel it. When I got off the ride I looked at the line and it seemed to be an hour wait. So we did rides like Lighting Racers the Comet, Super Duper Looper, it was so fun.We got in the line for Storm Runner and this time I wasn’t scared. I was confident and I also went with my mom and Matthew’s mom. I love this ride, I said to myself as we rocketed up and down. At the end of the day it got dark and I could still hear the screams of joy and laughter too. I wished the day would never end but it had to, so we moved on and went to other rides. We were still excited for more. At the end of the day, and when it got really dark, I wished I could ride a water ride. My friend Matthew had to leave. My dad, my sister and I went to go get on the ride. As soon as we got in I could tell that we would get soaked because the seat was drenched of water. We went up the ride and when we got to the top we blasted down and a wave hit us like a lightning bolt. We were soaked and the people in front of us were too, but it was fun!  On the way back we had to run because someone else was coming down the slide, so we all hid behind a wall so we didn’t get splashed again. After, we went to get new clothes since we were soaked but then we saw a drying booth. We really had to go in, . But it smelled really bad.  So at the of the day we got in the car, my dad got me a candy bar, and I fell asleep on the way back to the hotel.

                                      I GOT THE BIEBER FEVER

It was August 17, 2013. I was waiting to get into a Justin Bieber concert, my legs felt like jelly and I was wishing my mom and I could have come to the concert way earlier so we wouldn’t have to wait in this extended line for hours. I started to wobble and my legs were about to give way. I was annoyed as I was listening to all the chit chat that young girls were making while waiting in line behind me. It was finally my turn to show my tickets to the security guards, and that turned my frown into a smile. However, when they said “We so are sorry but you cannot bring your poster into the concert,” that made my mouth drop down into a frown once again. I looked to the side and saw thousands of posters in the garbage and more posters on a table! “Look at all those posters!” my mom said with shock. “Oh those aren’t all the posters,” the security guard said, “There are tons of others outside in the garbage.” The guard was laughing and that got on my last nerve. With tears in my eyes I asked my mom if I could take a couple of pictures with my poster before we threw it out, and her response was “of course.” So when I was done taking my pictures I noticed a skinny middle aged woman, with long fuzzy orange hair wearing a shirt that had pink flowers and light blue skinny jeans, was watching me. A couple seconds later she came up to me and said “Let me see your poster.” “Okay.” I said. “Did you work hard on it?” “Yes.” I responded. “If you give me your poster to keep, I swear Justin will see this.” she said. “How do you know he’ll see it?” I questioned. “I’m Justin Bieber’s hair stylist’s mom.”
My jaw dropped open as far down as you could imagine and I thought, oh my gosh, Justin Bieber is actually going to have my poster. Then she said “Let me see your tickets.” I didn’t give the tickets to her but I held them out so she could see what row we were sitting in. Then the lady said “I have been giving out some front row tickets,” she paused, and I grew a grin on my face. “These tickets are yours!” and she put a smile on her face also. I instantly started crying with joy and couldn’t even say thank you! While I was still sobbing and jumping up and down the lady said “The only thing is you have to give me your tickets, I give you my front row ones, and I’ll give your tickets to someone who doesn’t have any tickets. “Deal!” my mom said because I couldn’t. Now here comes the good part. I walked into the stadium with my mom while Hot Chelle Ray was performing “Tonight Tonight” and tons of other songs. When the band was done performing there were technical difficulties so my mom and I had to wait awhile. Sitting in my seat with my heart still pounding rapidly after all the madness Hot Chelle Ray spread with the crowd. I started to glance around with a little bit of boredom but a lot of excitement seeing how far down in the stadium I was. I sighed while wondering if Justin Bieber would ever come on stage.
The funny thing is my sister and her friend, who is a Justin Bieber fanatic, was at the concert too. But I’m a bigger fan than her. Anyway, my mom sent a picture to my sister of the stage in front of us with a text underneath the picture that said look down by the stage that’s in my picture, and they did. When they spotted us their jaws dropped open like mine did when I found out that the girl who gave me the tickets was Justin Bieber hairstylist’s mom. We waved with laughter just to make them jealous. They gave us a mean smile and they couldn’t believe it. An hour later the lights dimmed and it finally became pitch black, the screen turned on and all that showed was a man talking to us. The screen opened and there was the magnificent Justin Bieber I rushed up out of my seat to the gate, my mom was yelling “stay there” because I left her behind. “How could I not!” I replied. Justin was on strings with I think plastic wings soring down to the stage right in front of my tiny little face. Girls were rushing behind me. My mom was scared because I was this tiny little thing in front of these teenaged girls. The opening song was “All Around The World” featuring Luda Chris. Justin touched my hand several of times, and I touched his back up dancer. When Justin started singing slow songs like “Everything’s going to be Alright” or “Catching Feelings,” everybody took out their phones, turned their light on, and waved their hands side to side with their phone in their hand.
When Justin sung songs I love, I started crying, a lot. But that doesn’t mean anything at all because I was crying throughout the whole concert.

His last song was “Believe” because that is the name of his album. He was playing the piano and singing at the same time! His dancers were wearing all white. There were fireworks shooting up and the whole crowd was stunned. When he finished his closing song him and his backup dancers came up to me and did and amazing dance move and bowed. He introduced his band also. Danny who is his guitarist played the guitar surprisingly very well behind his back! Finally the lights came on and I couldn’t move. My mom was laughing to death and made me take a seat for a couple of minutes.    After all that night was definitely the most stimulating night of my life.

Winter Family Time

The wind yelled and cried,
“I’m not scared,” I lied,
I flew like a bird without a care,
As the snow got in my hair.

The snow bit,
And the wind hit,
As me and my happy family soared over snow,
This is the part that gives the present of skiing fun a glittery bow.

We are a splash of color on the slope,
Not falling is a hope,
My hair blows back,
Fun in skiing has no lack.

As the hot chocolate down below called for me to come,
My hands and feet started to get numb,
Near to the end I savored the moment,
Time to go back to the room we rent.

The Game Changer

“EASTON! EASTON! EASTON!” shouted the crowd. They sounded like a herd of cows mooing. All of the players on the winning team, with hearts racing and lungs panting, ran out on the immense dirt diamond. It was so big it could hold 100 people. The clay was as brown as cocoa powder and was moist enough to play a ten hour game. The grass was as green as kale and when the howling wind blew, it shook the rickety old fence. Also you can tell the bases were as white as a cloud and were like a really firm pillow. Then the team dog piled on one player. His name is Aaron. He was a nice Italian boy who was a little chubby. He had fluffy brown hair that was as brown as dirt. Everyone at that field knew the game was history. The Easton team was victorious against the Fairfield American team. They’re going to Pennsylvania for the LLWS! It is every kid’s dream to go there. Although satisfied his team is going to the LLWS and making the game winning play, he felt like he didn’t help score any runs! After everyone left the field Aaron stood there thinking with a big frown on his face. Then he said “do I deserve to be on this team?” “Did I help the team win?” On the way to Aarons house he asked his parents “how can I get better with my hitting?” his parents replied “you’ll find out tomorrow” Then they smiled at each other.
Aaron thought about it all night and he finally fell asleep. The next day was his birthday and when Aaron opened his last present it was the new Easton Mako composite baseball bat. “Thanks guys I loved my presents especially the bat” said Aaron. “No problem” said his parents.  “Well that’s all of them” said his dad. “Wait what’s in my pocket?” Aaron’s eyes popped out like bowling balls. They were tickets to a Red Sox baseball game. The Red Sox are Aaron’s favorite team. The next day Aaron and his father went to the game. Their seats were right near the batters circle. Aaron had a jersey of David Ortiz (his favorite player) and a hat. When David Ortiz went to bat he asked Aaron “I heard you’re not confident with your hitting” “want to do some training with me?” That’s when Aaron had a grin so big it was bigger than the Joker’s. Aaron was stunned. He was so surprised he was speechless. “Well ummm” Aaron struggled to say. “Of course I would never let this opportunity down” Aaron said with a proud voice. “Good I’ll swing by tomorrow to pick you up” said Mr. Ortiz. Then David Ortiz went to bat. Aaron couldn’t believe it he was doing training with his favorite player from his favorite team! After the game Aaron went straight to bed when he got home because he knew he had to get his rest for the big day tomorrow. But all the excitement kept Aaron up for an hour before he finally got to sleep. The next morning Mr. Ortiz picked Aaron up in his glossy Rolls-Royce Ghost. Aaron was jumping in his seat and couldn’t stop smiling.
“We’re here” said Mr. Ortiz. When Aaron stepped on the field he felt like an ant. He thought it was a field for the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk. “Ok let’s get started” said Mr. Ortiz. “First we’ll get your confidence back”. They walked to home plate. Aaron stood very far away from the plate in his stance. “Move closer to the plate” said Mr. Ortiz. Aaron slowly moved closer to the plate. Mr. Ortiz had a bucket full of tennis balls. Aaron wondered why he did.  Then Mr. Ortiz threw a tennis ball really hard at Aaron! “OWWWW” screamed Aaron. “You have to like the ball to gain your confidence back” exclaimed Mr. Ortiz. “O-k-k-k I’ll try” Aaron said in a scared voice. Mr. Ortiz threw five more at Aaron. Then he threw five more four times! “I’m feeling way better now” exclaimed Aaron. “Ok now let’s do some batting practice” said Mr. Ortiz. He told Aaron to have a level swing and when you swing to make an L shape with your legs. So then Aaron went to bat. He looked as confident as ever and when Mr. Ortiz threw the first pitch SLAM! Aaron hit clean line drive to right field. Together Mr. Ortiz and Aaron exchanged nods and they both looked like a sensei.

After doing their best the Easton team made it to the championship game against Japan. Aaron didn’t know it but there was a surprise coming. While Aaron was warming up with his team he heard a familiar voice. “Remember confidence Aaron” Aaron was about explode with excitement. He turned around and there was Mr. Ortiz! “Mr. Ortiz you came!” “Of course I did to see you hit the heck out of the ball!” Then David Ortiz helped with the rest of the warm-ups by throwing in the batting cage, hitting fly balls to the outfield, and hitting groundballs to the infield. Aaron didn’t get up in the first inning but he got up in the second. Aaron walked to the plate got into his stance. The pitcher gave Aaron a smirk and a dirty look but Aaron gave one back. The pitcher threw heat but that didn’t stop Aaron. SLAM!  Aaron pulled a nasty double to right field. Everybody cheered and Aaron got fired up. Sadly though the rest of his team only allowed him to get to third base. Then the teams switched sides. Aaron got a couple good plays in the field. Then he got up again in the third inning. Aaron was confident. Really confident. He was so over confident that he struck out. Then he got all mopey again! “Remember Aaron don’t get too confident but you worked hard so let it play off” said Mr. Ortiz. “Ok coach” replied Aaron with a smile on his face. The rest of his teammates that got up in that inning got two runs by two singles and a triple! In all of the innings except the first, second, third, and sixth inning it was pretty depressing for the Easton team. The Japan team scored five runs to make it 5-2. Aaron became nervous because the end was near. It was the last inning. Aaron was up to bat. There were two outs, bases loaded, and the count was 3 balls and two strikes. “Make it a good one” said Mr. Ortiz. Aaron took a deep breath and then the pitcher threw a meatball down the middle. WHACK!!! Aaron knew that that was the one. His heart was pounding 100 mph! Then he saw it sail over the fence and make a rumble on the grass. Aaron hit a grand slam to win the game. After that everybody starting shouting “The Game Changer”. When Aaron hit home plate, all of his teammates and coaches lifted him up shouting Aaron! Aaron! Aaron! All Aaron did was stare out the window on the ride home. He was quietly processing the big moment. He remembered when he hit the grand slam and took that great big leap on home plate. He’ll never forget the feeling running and jumping around the bases. He couldn’t believe it was him. All of his hard work paid off. He hoped that if he worked really hard he can become the best someday. That’s what he decided.

The Fall Adventure

On a cool fall day, I was walking in the woods. I heard a stick crackle so I turned around and quivered when I caught sight of a deer. I calmed down and kept walking. I watched the chuckling chipmunks playing on the huge tree tops. The quiet wind touched my face as it swiftly moved across the sky. I knew I was up for adventure.  I kept walking in the woods. Suddenly, I felt like someone or something was watching me, so I turned around slowly and it was a red fox. The fox was as red as the brick on my house. He scurried away so I followed the creature. I think he knew I was following him but he didn’t turn around. It was like he wanted me to follow to some place wonderful. My eyes widened as I spotted the sight of beautiful flowers in the distance. All of the sudden I came to a clearing and there were foxes everywhere. I think this is where they sleep and eat. I just noticed the fox I’ve been following was a kit (baby fox). I stayed behind the bushes so I wouldn’t scare the foxes.  This was their home and I couldn’t let anyone wreck it so I ran back home, got some left over ham, and went back to the fox home. I figured that they’d be out hunting because it’s the afternoon. So I went where they ate, ( I could tell because there were a lot of scraps and bones), and I put the ham down right in the middle and waited in the bushes for them to come back. As soon as they came back the kit went right to the ham, looked around, and devoured it. I think he liked it. I spotted the little guy running toward the bush I was sitting in, and then he jumped on me and started to lick my face. I didn’t know what to do! I knew I would go there every day and meet my little friend. That was my plan, so I did it. I also always would bring a treat just in case he got hungry and he did. The little guy would grow up soon and it would be all over. But just for the fall I would enjoy it.  That was my fall and it seemed like it went on forever.

Go Kart Madness

My name jumps on the board, I slide across the track,
and drift on every turn.
Boom! Smack! I felt as if my seat was going to crack.
I held on tight, I knew I had to finish.
As I cruised along the track, the crisp, cool air makes my face feel numb, I said to myself “I’ve never felt so free!”

The intense vibration on the steering wheel
felt as if it were going to burst into thin air,
along with the eerie screech of the tires,
being rubbed and worn out
against the cement saying “Go faster!”
My foot on the gas pedal kept refusing to hit the brakes on turns,
making me swirl like the icing on a cinnamon roll.
I was driving so fast,
all I could hear was the revving of the engine,
 instead of the cheering madness.

I saw red lights shining like supernova suns
at every spot in the track,
yelling at me to stop.
I took one last lap and pulled around the small corner,
needing to make a sharp turn.
As I drove slowly down the aisle,
I came to a hard, jerking, screeching stop.
I flew out of my seat,
 ran to the office
as the record sheet jumped to hug me.
I read and read until I saw that I was in 12th place.
I felt a rain of disappointment pour on top of me,
and then I exclaimed, “Let’s do it again!”

The Deadly Drop

My hands were cold with sweat as I stepped in line for the Tower of Terror. I crept to the front of the ride. POW! The room turned pitch black and the TV screen turned on. On the TV we watched some people    getting on the elevator. They got on and went going up and up and up.        Ding! Went the elevator doors but when they opened no one was there.     Then the haunted lights came on. Now it was time for the real deal, our turn to take the elevator. My stomach must have had 1 million butterflies and I felt as if I could have thrown up!
I was on the very edge of the elevator freaking out! I was already screaming and everyone was looking at me! Finally the elevator came to a stop. I thought to myself, I have had a good life. The elevator started creeping and clicking. Just happen, just happen! I was begging. The rest of the ride had their hands up and they were also screaming joyful screams. While I was shaking with fear from head to toe, my hands felt like they were glued to the seat. The windows opened and I was blinded by the sunlight. Slowly, the ride went up and down.
Finally, we went slamming down! I was shreiking at the top of my lungs! To make things worse the windows would open then you would go crashing down! My dad was having a blast while I was about to faint!      It felt like I did it a billion times!(actually three) ,but it still was freaky! When the windows opened and it showed the park my face froze. I almost flung out of my seat when we went zooming down in darkness.
I was the first one off the ride and into the hallway. It felt sooooooo good to be out of the sweltering hot ride and into the cool shop. Then I took my dad’s hand and we marched right out of the shop and into the park.

The Great Gift of Honesty

Honesty is always making someone proud of you,
it can help people everywhere.
Honesty will make you happy with yourself.

Honesty is a cover of truth that warms your heart.
It is like a present waiting to be opened.
Honesty is a beautiful part of life.

Honesty is loyal and respectful to others around you,
and it can show the way of happiness.
Honesty will show gratefulness to all whom want the truth.

Honesty outruns lies.
Honesty is never wrong it is always right.
Honesty  is a magnificent part of life .

I walked down the aisle and jumped down the stairs and off the bus. Suddenly my mom boomed “Come on kids get in the car we need to get your dad from work!” I was very curious. My dad never comes home early. I bolted into the car and yelled to my brother and sister, “Come on guys!”  My mom was driving so fast.  When we got there my dad was standing outside with a note in his hand.  I hugged him like never before. I was so happy to see him so early in the day. He had a grin on his face and then he said “Read my letter.” My eyes were about to fall out, my heart was beating faster and faster.  I couldn’t believe what I read.   My mouth dropped open, the note said “We are going to Disney.”   I was so excited my brother, little sister and I jumped up and down in the car full of excitement. We zoomed to the airport right away.
The plan was so fancy. It had cozy leather seats and it had T.V on the back of the seats. They even served dinner. It was first class. When we got there it was really crowded so we went straight to our rooms. It was more like a house. Ding Dong! The front door of our hotel door opened... It was my cousins! A smile rang up my face and I could not breathe I was so happy. WE started running around like there was an avalanche behind us. We slept really well that night. In the morning we went to the pool. SPLASH! “John you pushed me in the pool.”  I jumped out and started dunking him. I was laughing so hard; we had so much fun. After that we went to Splash Mountain. “Here we go!” I said as we got on the ride. There were a bunch of animals that were talking and acting out all kinds of cool stuff. Just then a sign said DANGER and all of a sudden we went down a humongous drop. SPLASH! We were all wet and our faces and pants were wet too! So the next three hours we all were walking around soaked. In the morning my mom and dad had to go somewhere, so we spent the morning at my cousins. We made a game up. It was called Monster. This is how you play somebody is the monster and all the other people run away. So I was it for a long time that when my mom and dad came home I was still it.
My mom told us that we had to go in the morning.  I was very upset. In the morning we said goodbye and got in the car and drove home. When we got home I said to myself , I will never forget the time I went to Disney.

Spring Cleaning

Spring cleaning is not much fun,
 But it includes everyone.
I will definitely try
 not to get it done.
I will disguise as someone that I’m not,
And try to hide from this odd event.
Maybe I could hide in a tent, or that snoozing old vent.
I can make an excuse, like the scent of Febreeze
 Makes me sneeze,
 Or detergent makes me scream
this is urgent.
But I got to say that mops
 give me the hops.
But before I can think of another excuse,
 My mom says no excuses
and then she tells me to clean.

Born To Play

The ukulele sat there hanging all alone,
it called to me,
it wept, it connected to my bone.

I knew right then I was born to play,
and I rushed over without a delay.
The splintered wood scratched my arm,
but I kept playing for that was my charm.

My pick was plucking the perfect strum,
Everyone in the house crowded around to enjoy the fun.
As the tune and music played the song,
it danced and it swayed with every chord it made.

When we heard the clock strike 12,
we knew the day was done,
but with a quick flick of the wrist,
we started back up until the music met the sun.

JAMES’S NEW HOME AND NEW SCHOOL

James’s plane had just landed at Miami, Florida, at a new home because his dad got a job promotion. His job was an engineer, and he needed a better job. James didn’t like the job promotion. He was thousands of miles away from France his old home. His flight was from Paris, France to Miami, FL which is a pretty far distance for an 11 year old boy to travel. He was really nervous because he spoke German and French and didn’t know what the kids would think about him in middle school. He was sad because he missed all of his friends that knew him and spoke his language. James’s mom was driving to the new house. While James was looking out the window, he thought about all the fun he would be having back in France with his friends. It was August 13th still 19 days away from the first day of school. The days flew by like a second. Finally it was the big day. It was the first day of school. As James approached the bus his palms were sweaty. Then off the bus went. Finally, it was the first day of school.

When James got to class, he went up to the teacher and said, I’m the new kid but the teacher didn’t understand him because he was speaking French. The teacher introduced him to someone in the office that spoke French. When James was in the office, he saw a boy. The boy had blonde hair. James said hi in French and the boy said hi in French too. James’s chin dropped. James thought that the boy was pulling a trick on him but he wasn’t. James asked what’s your name but there was no answer. All day James was in the office practicing English. English is hard to learn James said. When James got home he was still practicing English until one in the morning. The next day at lunch a miracle happened, James was speaking English. Then a kid named John started talking to him, “I remember you from somewhere. Are you the kid from the office?” “Yep,” he replied. Suddenly John and James were best friends. James thought to himself that he has a friend.  James invited him to come over to his house. The rest of the day flew by like a breeze. When John arrived at James house he introduced him to his family.

While John and James were doing their homework John said “Why does this house smell like a new house?”  James just then realized that he wasn’t living in France anymore, he was living in the U.S.A. A feeling of happiness came over him that he was somewhere new.  James started talking about the move and told John that the flight was 11 hours. “WOW!”  John said. James mom said that dinner was ready. At 8:00pm, John’s mom came to pick him up then James went to bed. The next day when he went to school everything was fine. At lunch James saw John. He started talking to him. James liked having John as a friend, it’s like James could tell John anything.

While James and John were walking down the hallway, John saw the five meanest people in school. “Hey James, “John whispered quietly, “Don’t ever go near them because they are bullies. I once saw them push a kid lunch on the floor.”  They slowly walked passed them.  John accidentally dropped his books on the floor.   One of the bullies turned around and came back, picked up the books and handed them to John.   James thought for a second why would a kid part of the bullies group come back and do something nice for someone? The next day John and James and the bullies were in the hallway again, and the bullies started to pick on James. John and the kid who picked up the books said something to stop the bully, “Why are you bullying him it’s not nice to bully!”  That second the bullies realized it and stopped.  They said “sorry, we shouldn’t have done that.”  Everyone cheered and James said that this is the best home ever. James thought about how happy he was to have met John, especially since he spoke French.  James wished to be friends with John forever and hoped for the rest of years at  Great Bear Middle School that he will stick up for himself  and will teach others to stick up for themselves. James decided that he is shouldn’t be nervous ever again and to take charge when him or other get bullied. Most importantly he was glad to be here in Miami, Florida.

Tubing

 Tubing with my cousin,
Running at full speed,
 Leaping quickly on the sled.
Flying at top speed, like an out of control Ferrari.
I wrestle with the tube to get it back on course,
 But it stubbornly refuses,
My cousin hangs on with all his might.
Gaining speed we panic,
Like the world was going to end.
We hit a turn to hard,
And went flying in the air
Like a rocket escaping earth’s gravity,
But then drop like a 10 pound rock.
we laughed and said “Let’s do it again!”

Spring Glory

When I heard spring call me, it said don’t sigh,
As I ran outside the sun was high.
The smell of spring is always clear,
Sound of birds is always near,
Never fear the bee’s bite,
You know they will never fight.
Spring has flowers blushing yellow,
And wind that is very mellow.
The sun warms me with love,
Felling as peaceful as a white dove,
Spring is full of happiness and fun,
And you know this day, is the best one,
Spring is full of glory.

Perseverance is a Gift

Perseverance pushes everyone to accomplish their dreams,
it prepares people ready for anything that comes their way,
it can cause a dream to continue.

It is the sun that keeps shining, even it is captured by the clouds.
A sailor guiding along the vast sea through powerful waves,
in the hope that he will find land.
Perseverance is the very last petal on a stem,
holding onto the waving flower stem
that is greeting the wind with all its might.

Perseverance is glue, making a wish come true,
the very last spectacle of snow to survive,
the fierce sun all day long.

Perseverance is determined, bringing inspiration to the world.
It is a revised paper that is rewarded an A+, it is being brave
even if it feels like you are failing,  having confidence through all the rough times.
Perseverance is a gold medal waiting
and asking to be held everyday
and night.
It is like a  fox digging to survive the horrid storm.
Perseverance is amazing.

Spring Has Sprung

Wind no longer howls,
it is replaced by the sweet
smell of flowers.
Birds sing a song of joy,
while the trees dance to the wind.
But above it all, the sun spotlights it all,
watching I am in awe.
The wind no longer throws itself at my door,
instead it whistles a song of delight.

At night there is a show,
one by one all the stars popped on stage,
each one gives a beam of light,
signaling another to follow.
Once the stage is full of stars, out jumps the moon,
the sunrise wakes me up, and begs me to play.

Chipmunks chattered,and caterpillars rejoice
 that they are now butterflies.
A fawn jumps,
causing everything around him to move.
The birds soar above the trees,
declaring that they rule the skies.

 Dark clouds float in,
bringing a downpour of their tears.
Flowers look up with hope in their eyes.
 They reach out their leaves,
as far as they could, rejoicing.
Trees waved in the wind,
as if to dance with the rain itself.
But soon the sun shines through,
making the dark clouds go away.

  Then a miracle happens,
a rainbow sprouts from the ground,
it propels itself across the vast sky,
seeming like it wants to reach the ends of the earth.
Spring is truly a sight to behold,
 you might find yourself,
 thunderstruck by spring too.

Fall Is Starting

It was a beautiful day out so I decided to go on a hike. I gazed at the old, moldy gray bridge. As I walked across the bridge, it went “CREAK SCREACH CREAK!” I cupped my ear and heard a faint sound of water moving. The water looked smooth enough to touch. I was skimming rocks in the stream water, and dropped one in. Water splattered in my face, and the water felt as cold as ice. When I crossed the bridge, a gigantic stampede of fuzzy brown chipmunks were scurrying to a big bucket of nuts that my brother left outside. It was so funny to see squirrels gathered up together around the blue bucket. So I took my camera out and snapped a picture. By the time all of the squirrels were gone, the bucket was empty!
I put my camera back, and slowly strolled farther into the woods. The yellow, red and orange leaves on trees look like really big fires. Then I found a rocky cave in the distance. When I walked closer, I caught a glimpse of something orange and a little bit white. It was a fox! After this furry creature took a close look at me, it started chasing me! I dashed like a cheetah until I stumbled into a soft bedding of white daisies. I peered behind me and I found a mini barn. The paint was faded red. I got up and went in. The smell of apple pie drifted in the air. My mouth began to water.
An old woman entered the room with a crispy apple pie. She had white hair in a bun. She was wearing a black dress with white lace in the middle. Her glasses kept flopping as she walked. I could imagine the taste of apple pie in my head. I was thinking, I really want some! She said, “Have some! It is scrumptious!” I cut a mini piece and ate it all in one minute. She was right! It was so scrumptious! I thanked her and left some money on the table. I checked my watch and it was 6:30, so I turned around and headed home.
