Surf
Away!
The
summer wind caught my face in a pillow of screeching water.
Mist
sprayed me with its sparkling summer sand.
I could
not see the light of the smiling sun,
As my
head went under the deep blue sea.
When I
popped my head up to the surface of the water,
I was
able to catch a glimpse of my dad’s laughing surf board
Before a wave slammed into me,
And sent me flying along with it.
Quickly I
grabbed my black, yellow, and red surf board
And stood
up on it.
While
riding, it felt as if I rode my board all the way home.
When my
dad finally flipped over,
I jumped
in and swam out to the wave I liked,
Stood up on my board and hit the gleaming waves
For the
last time that day.
