The Deadly Drop

My hands were cold with sweat as I stepped in line for the Tower of Terror. I crept to the front of the ride. POW! The room turned pitch black and the TV screen turned on. On the TV we watched some people    getting on the elevator. They got on and went going up and up and up.        Ding! Went the elevator doors but when they opened no one was there.     Then the haunted lights came on. Now it was time for the real deal, our turn to take the elevator. My stomach must have had 1 million butterflies and I felt as if I could have thrown up!
I was on the very edge of the elevator freaking out! I was already screaming and everyone was looking at me! Finally the elevator came to a stop. I thought to myself, I have had a good life. The elevator started creeping and clicking. Just happen, just happen! I was begging. The rest of the ride had their hands up and they were also screaming joyful screams. While I was shaking with fear from head to toe, my hands felt like they were glued to the seat. The windows opened and I was blinded by the sunlight. Slowly, the ride went up and down.
Finally, we went slamming down! I was shreiking at the top of my lungs! To make things worse the windows would open then you would go crashing down! My dad was having a blast while I was about to faint!      It felt like I did it a billion times!(actually three) ,but it still was freaky! When the windows opened and it showed the park my face froze. I almost flung out of my seat when we went zooming down in darkness.
I was the first one off the ride and into the hallway. It felt sooooooo good to be out of the sweltering hot ride and into the cool shop. Then I took my dad’s hand and we marched right out of the shop and into the park.
