How The Giants Were Formed
In 1925, a rich business man named Tim Mara, wanted to buy a professional boxer. His bid was turned down so he decided to buy the New York Giants. When  Mara bought them they were $500. That season Tim Mara had to give away a lot of tickets. He almost gave away as many as he sold. They started 0-3 but ended the season 8-4, 8 wins 4 losses.
In 1927 the New York Giants had a great season, they won their first NFL title with a 11-1-1 record that is 11 wins 1 loss and 1 tie. In 1931 the New York Giants got Steve Owen as coach and  defensive tackle. The giants played well and got  Polo Grounds as their first home field, After that they were on a huge 15 year losing streak. It was very boring to watch them. This streak went on for what seemed like forever and they only had 2 winning seasons.

Coaching And Staff
Tim Mara was the first Manager of the New York Giants. The first real coach was Steve Owen who they got in 1931, they kept him until 1954. Two years later they   moved to Yankee Stadium. After Steve Owen stopped coaching Jim Lee Howell took over. Also after Tim Mara died Jack and Wellington Mara, his sons took over.
In 1960 Allie Sherman, coach of the giant got   traded for San Francisco's Y.A. Title. In 1976 the New York Giants moved to Giants  stadium in New Jersey. The stadium had 76,000 seats. At the New Stadium, the giants had a great offensive team including Fran Tarketon, Bob Tucker, and Ron Johnson.
But they had a horrible defense. The Giants were looking better when George Young came to be manager of the giants. He  selected Phil Simms. He was a great quarterback but nobody knew who he was. Also they got Lawrence Taylor a great linebacker  who turned the Giants into one of the NFLs most feared teams.

Big Wins And Loses
The Giants have had many exiting games, there first one was in 1956 vs. the colts, it was known as the best game ever and the giants lost 23-17.In 1987 the giants played their  first super bowl and beat the     broncos 39-20. In 1991 the giants played the bills in the super bowl and won 20-19. In 2001 the Giants played the Baltimore ravens in the super bowl and lost 34-7. In 2008 the Giants played the Patriots in the super bowl and won 17-14 and beat them 21-17 in the 2012 super bowl.
